Last night, a very talented and charming gentleman I know named Mark threw a party– the kind I like to attend, with potluck food and intelligent guests. Many were historical reinactment buffs from the SCA or Brothers of the Coasts. I was treated to many wonderful discussions from the historical accuracy and iconography of recent Elizabethan movies to how to create an efficient small bomb for vermin control. (Yes, I blinked a bit in surprise on that last.)

However, eventually the part of me that makes me a recluse reared its ugly head, and I went into sensory overload. Dante kindly removed me when he found me huddled in a chair on the deck. I do hope I see some of those folks again.
